Flying safaris in Uganda are mostly done by luxurious travellers coming to the country given that all main national parks in Uganda have airstrips within or close to the park. You can book flights to various national parks on private chartered flights or daily scheduled flights.

Flying safaris in Uganda always start from Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield to various other destinations. Flying safaris in Uganda is one of the best ways for travellers with less time to explore Uganda, travelling by air is the fastest and effective way of transport you can use.

Flying safaris help tourists cover distances in 2 hours which would have been covered in 9-10 hours by road, flying also helps to shorten the number of days in a safari hence saving time. Flying to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is located in the south western part of Uganda, the park is famously known for being home to endangered mountain gorillas and 13 other species of primates. Aero link Uganda conducts flights to Bwindi national park daily but you need to fly to Kisoro airstrip if you booked accommodation from Rushagga sector of Kihihi airstrip if you booked accommodation from Ruhijja or Buhoma sectors of the park.

The flight to Bwindi normally takes about 2 hours then you will be driven to your respective lodge for about an hour or more from the airstrip. The drive to Bwindi national park by road takes about 9-10 hours by road.

Flying to Murchison Falls national park

Murchison falls National Park is situated in the north western part of Uganda, it boasts with unique wild life species and its home to the world’s strongest waterfalls. Standard chartered flights can be organized from Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield to Pakuba airstrip, Bugungu airstrip or Chobe airstrip.

Flying to Queen Elizabeth national park

Queen Elizabeth national park is the country’s most visited national park and also home to the unique tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector. Flights to Queen Elizabeth national park take about 1 hour and 20 minutes compared to 7 hours of driving by road. Flights can be taken from Kajjansi airfield or Entebbe airport to Kasenyi airfield in the park.

Flying to Kidepo valley national park

Kidepo valley national park is among the top tourists destinations in Africa, its located in the remote Karamoja plains in the far north eastern part of the country take over ten hours to drive by road. You must book flights to Kidepo valley national park in advance and they commence from Entebbe international airport or Kajjansi airfield to Kidepo airfield or Apoka airstrip.

Flying to Mgahinga national park

Mgahinga gorilla national park is nestled in the south western corner of Uganda and its home to mountain gorillas, 3 of the Virunga range volcanoes and the endangered species of the unique golden monkeys. Flights can be taken to Kisoro airstrip and then drive in about an hour to the park.
