Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and hotel transfer

The trip starts with arrival at Kigali international airport. The driver guide will be already at the airport to receive and welcome you on arrival. Be briefed about the whole trip as you drive to the hotel in Kigali, where you will spend the overnight. Depending on your time of arrival, drive through Kigali city at your convenience for sights of the beautiful and important buildings in the city.

Day 2: Travel to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

Have breakfast in the morning at the lodge and start the journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park in Uganda. This park is one of the only four homes of the endangered mountain gorillas in Africa and the world as a whole.

The journey itself is an experience of its own, driving through the curvy roads of Rwanda, rolled in the hills and valleys presents outstanding views of the thousand hills of Rwanda and the Virunga ranges. Cross to Uganda through the Cyanika border and travel to Bwindi. Arrival is in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Batwa community

Today is the gorilla trekking day. Wake up to a palatable breakfast and set off to the park headquarters for a simple briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking from the local guide. Be led into the forest by an armed ranger guide. On a lucky day, trekkers even spot forest elephants and buffaloes. Trekking the gorillas in Bwindi involves a simple nature walk through the impenetrable forest in search of the mighty apes. You will spend one hour in their presence on meeting them, learning about them and watching them.

In the afternoon, having had a palatable lunch, spend the evening with the Batwa pygmies of the forest. This visit will help you know the way of life of these forest people, how they make fire, prepare food and enjoy cultural performances.

Day 4: Travel back to Kigali and fly to Nairobi

Immediately after breakfast, travel back to Kigali, having more spectacular views of the Virunga ranges and Rwanda’s countryside. At the airport, catch up with your flight to Nairobi in Kenya where you will be received by our experienced guide to transfer you to the hotel to spend the overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Nakuru

Have breakfast and start the journey to Lake Nakuru. Drive through the great eastern rift valley, having stunning views of the escarpment. Arrival at the lodge is in the afternoon for lunch and then a game drive to spot the numerous wildlife species that reside here. The drive takes you along Lake Nakuru for sights of the highest concentration of flamingos in Africa. Thousands of flamingos call the lake a home, at times even painting it pink. At the lodge you will return in the evening.

Day 6: Drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Today you transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve. This is the most popular and visited reserve in Kenya because of its expansive golden savannah grasslands, the big five animals as well as the wildebeest migration. You will arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, have lunch and visit the Masai community. This is probably the most kind and hospitable tribe you will ever meet in Africa. See their way of life, enjoy the traditional performances and taste the local cuisines.

Day 7: Full day game drive

Have a full day game drive in Africa’s premier wildlife hub. The drive exposes you to almost all Africa’s wildlife species, both the big and small animals. Enjoy both the morning and afternoon game drives as you search for the big five; the lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and buffaloes plus many other wildlife species like giraffes, zebras, gazelles, wildebeests, warthogs, topis and many others.

Lunch will be in the wild among the animals. You will also drive to the migration trail to watch millions of wildebeests move from one place to the other in search of food and water. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Cross to Tanzania to Serengeti national park

Departure will be in the morning after breakfast for a relatively long day and drive. Drive to Isebania border and cross to Tanzania to Serengeti national park. The journey presents outstanding views of the beautiful countryside and the extensive landscapes, arriving in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Full day game drive

Serengeti national park is popular for being one of the African parks that offer the best game drive experiences. Ranked among the 10 natural wonders of the world, Serengeti is a home to almost every wildlife species in Africa. Nothing you will fail to see on this drive, the lions, buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, gazelles, warthogs, waterbucks and topis among others. Day 10: Travel to Ngorongoro crater

Day 11: Full day game drive

Day 12: Leave Ngorongoro crater. Departure through Arusha or Kilimanjaro airports

Upon arrival in arrival, have lunch or go for shopping excursion in this historical town, before you check in at the airport for your connecting flight or to Kilimanjaro airport for international departures.
