Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi and Hotel transfer
Arriving at the airport, our driver guide will be already waiting for you to brief you about the trip as e transfers you to the hotel where you will sleep in Kenya’s capital Nairobi. Depending on the time of arrival, you will drive through the capital city having stop overs at places of interest. At the lodge you will just have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Transfer to Samburu national park
Have breakfast in the early morning then drive to Samburu national reserve. The journey gives you spectacular views of the country side of Kenya and the Great Rift Valley. Arrival at the park will be in the afternoon, for lunch and an afternoon game drive. The game drive goes through Kenya’s northern plains to view the big cats of the Masai lion, Tanzanian cheetah and the leopard. You will also spot other wildlife species like the elephants, Cape buffalo, hippos, impalas, waterbucks and many others. For bird lovers, you will still view numerous bird species, summing to over 350 bird species.
Day 3: Travel to Lake Nakuru National Park
Early morning have breakfast and travel to Lake Nakuru for the world’s largest concentration of flamingos. Drive through the rift valley viewing the beautiful wonders that that nature placed in the Magical Kenya. You will check in at the lodge in the afternoon for lunch and an evening game drive. You will have sights of several white and black rhinos, the thousand flamingos that even usually make the lake pink. In the late evening return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, have a long morning walk on the shores of Lake Nakuru to view the pink lake flanked by thousands of flamingos that dwell here. In the afternoon you will transfer to Maasai Mara national reserve. This is the most visited reserve in Kenya for its expansive brown savanna grasslands and the wildebeest migration experience.
Day 5: Full day game drive
Wake up to a delicious breakfast and head out for a full day game drive in Maasai Mara. Game drives in Maasai Mara are ones that immediately expose you to the big five in just the first few minutes of the drive, having real up-close encounters with the lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, warthogs, zebras and many others. You will also spot the wildebeest migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras migrate in search of greener pastures and water.
Day 6: Cross to Tanzania to Serengeti national park
Breakfast will be served early in the morning and then drive out of Masai Mara national reserve. You will cross to Tanzania via Sirari boarder point. You will have the cross border experience in Africa. Drive to Serengeti national park, one of the ten natural wonders of the world. You will arrive in the evening at the lodge in the park to have dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Full day game drive
On this day, after breakfast, and set out for a full day game drive in Serengeti national park. Covering a land area of about 14000 square kilometers, Serengeti offers the best game drive experiences. A drive here guarantees you sights of the big five, the lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos and buffaloes. You will still spot the zebras, warthogs, giraffes, gazelles, antelopes, wildebeests and many others. This full day game drive also allows you view the great migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles converge in small columns to migrate looking for better pasture and water.
Day 8: Morning game drive and Maasai community
Early morning after breakfast, have another game drive for more sights of the beautiful wildlife species in Serengeti. Have lunch and then visit the Maasai Cultural village for an encounter with one of the world’s most kind and hospitable people. Enjoy the traditional dances, taste the local delicacies and personal interactions with the local people.
Day 9: Drive to Ngorongoro crater conservation area
On this day you will travel to Ngorongoro Conservation area for the Ngorongoro crater. This is the world’s largest intact caldera which is not a lake. This is usually called Africa’s Eden because of the thousands of animals that live here.
Day 10: Full day game drive
In the morning after breakfast, drive along the crater for the full day. Nothing you will fail to see, from the zebras, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, leopards, gazelles, and warthogs to rhinos and many other mammal species. For bird lovers, you will still spot a variety of them. There is no more beautiful sight than watching thousands of animals all in one huge caldera, it’s a sight unforgettable.
Day 11: Travel to Lake Manyara national park
Wake up to a delicious breakfast. Embark on a safari vehicle to start the journey to Lake Manyara national park. A park popularly known for its rare tree climbing lions only found here and Ishasha sector at Queen Elizabeth national park in Uganda in the whole of East Africa.
Arrival will be in the afternoon, the perfect time for a lunch meal. After lunch and some relaxation, go for a canoeing experience on Lake Manyara, taking you so close to several bird species especially the pink flamingos. Returning at the lodge will be in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 12: Transfer to Tarangire national park
Early morning, have breakfast and check out of the lodge. Enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara national park, looking out for the tree climbing lions lying in the fig trees. You will also spot huge herds of elephants, buffaloes and many other wildlife species. You will just drive out of the park, have enroute lunch and travel to Tarangire national park.
Day 13: Full day game drive
On having breakfast, embark on a full day game drive in the park. Game drives in Tarangire expose you to countless wildlife species in just a few minutes of the drive, you will spot huge herds of elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles and many others. The park encompasses an important migration trail, on a lucky day you will watch the famous wildebeest migration. Have lunch in the wild for a more thrilling experience. Returning to the lodge will be in the evening just for dinner and overnight.
Day 14: Travel to Arusha and Fly to Zanzibar
On this day you will check out of the lodge after breakfast and drive to Arusha to catch up with the flight to Zanzibar. This is a world destination, one of the most beautiful islands on the Indian Ocean. You will reach in the evening to just check in at the lodge, have dinner and overnight.
Day 15: Stone town guided walk
Wake up to an early delicious breakfast and head out for the Historical Stone town. Walk through the fabled Stone town to witness History standing still. It will be a full day tour taking you to the House of Wonders, the Palace Museum also called People’s palace, and the Arab Fort. After lunch you will then visit the Cathedral, mosques and the Zanzibar market for souvenirs. Returning to the lodge will be in the evening for just dinner and overnight.
Day 16: Spice Farm tour and Jozani farm
On this day, have breakfast and go out for the Spice tour, exploring the spice and fruit plantations close to the Stone Town. This will be an in-depth Spice tour giving you detailed information, not only about the spices, but also the herbs that were originally grown here. You will have lunch at the guides’ home to taste the spices grown here.
After lunch you will head to the beach resort, passing by Jozani Forest; a habitat for the rare endemic red Colobus monkeys and other monkey species. Then have some relaxation at the beach as you wait on returning back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 17: Beach relaxation
This day you will just have a full day beach relaxation, enjoy swimming in crystal clear waters, sun bathing and beach sports.
Day 18: Departure
Early morning, have breakfast and travel to Zanzibar airport to fly off back home.
