Experience Africa Safely
With the continued impact of COVID-19 on global travel, Magical Gorilla Adventures remains focused on the safety of our guests, both current and future.
The present situation in Africa is that most destinations are open, albeit with some inbound restrictions.
You can browse our entry requirements tracker, which is organized by country, to identify exactly which requirements you need to fulfill when traveling to Africa during COVID-19.
Not only is safari one of the best ways you can travel during the pandemic – your trip has a direct impact on protecting wildlife, conserving habitats, employing people in rural communities, and educating children across Africa – but also one of the safest.
We have created a resource that outlines how to travel safely in Africa and why safari is still one of the best ways to travel.
We’re happy to share that some of our clients and staff have been traveling throughout Africa in the past year.
Not only have they experienced once-in-a-lifetime trips, but they’ve also reported great comfort-ability and assurance with the health and safety precautions in place.
Hear from our clients who’ve recently been on safaris as they share their experiences of the COVID-secure precautions in place.
Encouraging Trends
We’re excited to report that our confirmed number of bookings have been on the increase since the start of 2021.
This suggests an increased confidence in travelers looking to venture out into the world again. Furthermore, the increase in inquiries we have seen indicates a recovery in the interest for inbound African travel.
During 2020, we were heartened to witness over 90% of our clients deferring their trips as needed – a very important element in ensuring our partner lodges and camps continue their conservation efforts and support the communities in which they operate.
They play a very important role in everything from managing anti-poaching programs to employing people in regions where paying one person often means feeding ten. With our travelers rescheduling their trips, these important initiatives remain intact.
