Detailed 2 Days Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Wake up early for breakfast at your hotel/upon your arrival Kigali International Airport, the tour guide for a city tour in Kigali where you will visit the Kigali craft market, Kandt House Museum of Natural History, Gisozi genocide memorial site.
Have lunch in Kigali, and after wards you will transfer northwards to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, a home to some of the remaining families of endangered Mountain Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at your pre-booked place of accommodation.
Day 2: Morning Gorilla Trekking and transfer back to Kigali
Morning breakfast at the hotel, assemble at the park headquarters for pre-trek briefing together with your trekking gear, drinking water and packed lunch.
This takes about 30minutes where the park ranger/park warden will give you vital guidelines concerning responsible gorilla trekking in Rwanda, and also the dos and don’ts to observe while trekking these beautiful creatures.
Later, proceed to the forest to track the gorillas, an activity that will take 2-8 hours depending on the movement of the apes in their natural environment.
After meeting and staying in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour as you take memorable photos, descend back to the headquarters, where the driver will meet you and transfer back to Kigali city/Kigali International Airport.
