Detailed Jinja City & Sipi Falls Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala – Sipi falls via Jinja
After breakfast on this first day of your 3 Days Jinja & Sipi Falls tour, at 7:00 am you will be picked from your hotel in Kampala to drive and transfer to Sipi Falls located on the slopes of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda. On the way, pass through the vast tea and sugar cane plantations in Lugazi, Mabira forest, visit Ssezibwa falls and later take a short boat cruise to the source of River Nile in Jinja. Lunch in Jinja and proceed to Sipi falls in the Elgon region. Overnight nd dinner at a pre-booked lodge.
Day 2: Hike to Sipi Falls / optional abseiling and evening Coffee Tour
In the morning after breakfast on this second day of your 3 Days Jinja & Sipi Falls adventure holiday, begin the 2-3-hour hike to Sipi falls. comprised of 3 free falling scenic falls, the Sipi is without doubt a gem on the slopes of Elgon mountain. The falls can be viewed from far but to get a clear and one-on-one encounter, you need to hike and reach the point where it plunges 7 meters from a high cliff forming a permanent pool of water beneath and a river, Sipi river.
You can choose to abseil for a bird eye’s view of the falls and then return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will go for a coffee tour to learn how the finest of Arabica coffee gets to your table from Mount Elgon ranges. Sipi village farmers grow this type of coffee, because it is one of the best in the world. Time permitting, venture into Sipi rock climbing on the slopes of Mount Elgon. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.
Day 3: Visit the Jew Centre – Transfer back to Kampala
In the morning after breakfast on this third day of your 3 Days Jinja & Sipi Falls safari holiday, you will go visit the famous and historical Jewish Centre in Mbale and learn about the history of the Jews in Uganda and later continue on a drive through Jinja where you will have an enroute lunch until Kampala, marking the end of this 3 days’ tour.
