Day 1: Arrive at Entebbe, City Tour & Hotel Transfer
A 4 Days Murchison Falls Safari Tour begins with a pick up on arrival at Entebbe International Airport. Meet with our representatives before moving to Kampala city or Entebbe town. Basing on the arrival time, if staying in Entebbe a visit to the Botanical gardens is arranged, for Kampala a short city tour is planned.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park with Rhino tracking en-route
Set off from your place of stay and drive north-west of the country; the journey from Kampala city is roughly 5 hours, but before reaching Murchison falls national park, branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to observe the white rhinos.
This sanctuary is on the mission of reintroducing rhinos in the country since their extinction in the year 1986.
From just 4 rhinos which were donated from Disney world, there has been good progress in the reproduction and with the eventual increase in the numbers the plan is to replace them in their natural habitats where they previously stayed.
The tracking is on foot and off trail so dress appropriately for an hour viewing the rhinos. Lunch stop at Kabalega dinners or Masindi town and later proceed to the park for dinner and overnight stay to mark the end of day 1 of your 4 Days Murchison Falls Safari Tour.
Day 3: Early morning game drive, afternoon Nile boat cruise and hike to the falls
After breakfast at 6:30am the early morning game drive in the Savannah plains of the Murchison Falls National Park.
The game drive will give you a chance to observe mammals and big cats, enjoy the sun rise and get to view more of last evening animals and a brief stop by the hippo pool, and later drive back to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the afternoon boat cruise on the Nile.
During the cruise, observe crocodiles and more hippos, elephants and buffaloes as they move to the banks to drink water and shower to cool from the high afternoon sun, Shoe bill watching encounter on the cliffs and finally the Murchison falls from the Bakers rock a short photo shoot here, head back to the lodge through the woodland sector of the park for the dinner.
Day 4: Depart the lodge, visit the top of Murchison falls and drive to Kampala/Entebbe (Optional chimpanzee trekking on this day)
