Detailed Uganda Camping Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our company representative / safari driver guide will be happy to receive you at Kigali International Airport upon arrival for your 6 Days Gorilla Trekking, Wildlife & Lake Bunyonyi, and thereafter brief you on all the activities you will engage in before driving to Kisoro in Uganda, crossing the Cyanika border post while enjoying the sights of jaw dropping hills of the Virungas coupled with amazing water bodies.
While in Kigali, the guide will drive you to the genocide memorial site as well as the museum, have lunch then proceed with the journey later on. When you reach Bwindi Forest National Park, immediately head to one of the four sectors where you will check in to your place of accommodation for dinner and a night stay.
Day 2: Trek gorillas and have an evening Cultural encounter
After breakfast on this second day of your 6 Days Gorilla Trekking, Wildlife & Lake Bunyonyi tour, pick up your documents and packed food as you head to the sector headquarters for yet very exciting activities in the jungle of a thick forest.

Thereafter, proceed to your lodge, have lunch and head to Kazinga channel for the 4pm boat cruise.
While here, you will see several aquatic animals enjoying their peace on the water banks, as well as some animals such as elephants, buffaloes that come to drink water. When all is done, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Morning Game drive and community walk on Lake George
Early in the morning on this fourth day of your 6 Days Gorilla Trekking, Wildlife & Lake Bunyonyi tour, wake-up to a very tasty cup of coffee, pick your binoculars, professional camera as well as any other tool that will help you during the game drive.

Day 5: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi and Visit the islands
Let the morning sun rays wake you up to a very tasty breakfast before heading to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. The lake is known for its 27 distinct islands.
This short journey feeds your eyes with the fantastic views of rolling hills of Virunga mountains – notably Muhabura, Sabyinyo and Gahinga which lie across the Uganda/Rwanda boarder.
Drive until you arrive at Lake Bunyonyi, check in to your lodge, refresh, and have lunch before jumping on a canoe that will take you to the different islands as you learn the history hidden especially the Punishment Island.
In fact, there are so many more treasures hidden in the amazing destination that you will see. Return when its night time, while enjoying the calm beautiful atmosphere, have dinner and night stay.
Day 6: Motor boat cruise/sight-seeing and Departure via Kigali
The birds’ melodies will wake you up to a very hefty breakfast as you enjoy the beauty in the different islands on motor boat.
In case time allows, you can visit the nearby communities, local projects that were initiated by natives to improve their livelihoods.
