Detailed Uganda Student Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National park

Upon arriving at Kigali international airport for your 6 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari, our professional driver guide will offer you a very warm reception going ahead to brief you about the trip.

Thereafter you will get into a four hours’ drive to Uganda, via Katuna boarder in Kabale district.

This amazing journey exposes you to the great sights of the rolling Virunga volcanoes. Cross the Katuna boarder, a journey that will roughly take 4-5 hours on a smooth road.

Upon your arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, check-in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural encounter

After a very tasty breakfast on this second day of your 6 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari, our driver guide will lead you to the sector headquarters for the ultimate experience of Gorilla trekking in Uganda.

The ranger will brief you about all the dos and don’ts to observe while trekking the gentle apes in their wilderness.

Watch mother gorillas feed their young ones and Silverbacks playing and swinging on tree branches.

This experience takes roughly one to three hours depending on how far the gorillas have gone and your fitness, all you need is professional camera and binoculars.

After having lunch, visit the Batwa community for an unforgettable cultural experience, local dances, stories and culinary. Return to the lodge for a very warm dinner and night stay.

Day 3: Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth NP through Ishasha. 2:00pm Kazinga Boat Cruise

Upon a delicious breakfast on this third day of your 6 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari, you will drive northwards to Queen Elizabeth National Park (medley of wonders) passing via the Ishasha sector that offers you an opportunity of tracking the tree climbing lions hanging loosely on the branches of fig trees.

Afterwards, proceed to your lodge, check-in and have some refreshments, lunch before heading to Kazinga channel for a memorable boat cruise. A launch trip offers one a chance of spotting several aquatic animals.

Day 4: Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth N/P and depart to Kibale Forest

After breakfast on this 4th day of your 6 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari, head to the plains of Kasenyi for a very rewarding game drive experience.

Lasting for about 3-4 hours, a game drive provides a chance to meet early risers and night hunters as they return to their hideouts. Some of the game that you expect to see include; lions, elephants, Buffaloes and others.

Retreat to your lodge, have delicious lunch, check-out and immediately head to Kibale Forest National Park – a hub of primate trekking experiences and nature walks. Upon reaching, check-in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:  Chimpanzee trekking and visit Bigodi swamp

After a very yummy breakfast on day 5 of your 6 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari, you will set off for yet a very interesting activity of trekking the elusive chimpanzees.

This park has over 13 primate species co-existing with each other thus acting as an advantage to you since there is a lot to see at the same time.

You will head to the park for a pre-trekking Briefing session as the park rangers orient you about the whole Uganda chimpanzee trekking activity, they then lead you to this lush forest in quest of these closest human relatives.

It’s real and authentic experience, with up to 100% chances of finding these primates in their natural paradise.

Head to the lodge for lunch and later head to Bigodi swamp for yet another interesting experience, you will meet some of the primates you might have missed in the previous trek.

Come face to face with the local people carrying on with their daily chores.

Day 6: Departure via Entebbe international airport

After a very early breakfast on this last day of your 6 Days Uganda Primates & Wildlife Safari, you will check-out and drive to Entebbe international airport via interestingly stunning views of the valleys as well as the well positioned beautiful gardens with green plantations.

Stop for photo moments and lunch at the Equator before proceeding for your flight.
